10. The Big Idea and How to Get One

Advertising is like any other art except that it has a commercial intention. The best writers and art directors (usually working as a team) use the same techniques as fine artists and poets do – manipulating symbols, words and images. 

With the exception of the first chapter and the chapter on Animism, the content of this site has been removed.  It is now available as an iBook, on Amazon and on Nook for $7.95.  It is listed as “Isn’t it Iconic, The Why and How of Creating Great Ads.”
